Bruce although having a fairly ordinary life of meeting up with friends at the weekends and seeing his family, pretty mundane stuff or so he thought. Just when he thought life was good. An unexpected event happened and this is when his life was turned upside down, as he discovers the sudden disappearance of his parents. Bruce and his close friends set about solving the mystery of his parents whereabouts. He is taken on many paths some take him closer to finding his parents and others seem to be deliberate attempts to take him off the scent. He comes across a sign leading to a village called "No Place" and comes across a wishing well with the letters "POUTIA" on it. Later on in the story the police become involved. Bruce sets out to search for his parents by retracing the tracks that lead to "No Place" without success. Bruce is taken in for questioning by the police shortly after his parents disappearance as they suspect him of life insurance fraud. After being released and returning to London, Bruce wants to make a new start and travels to Australia to see a old girlfriend. Whilst staying in Australia during a cultural festival Bruce meets an Aboriginal Trible elder who explains how a magical place called "Dreamtime" can be accessed here in Australia. The Tribal leader indicates to Bruce that Dream time is not just in Australia but in the secret hidden places of other countries. Bruce returns to the UK to go back to Snipe cottage in Derbyshire to investigate what he has found out further and discover this secret hidden place. Bruce is told everything about how to enter "No Place" by the church wardens. Bruce experiences dark "Entities" residing at "Depth of Winter farm" which is there to cause disturbances to those wanting to find "No Place". Bruce discovers Chris and Dorothy Hughes who are the newly appointed keeper of the keys and master of the gate. Bruce continues his voyue of discovery and the mystery unravels with an unexpected twist to the plot.
