Knowledge of the neurological causes of severe morbidity during pregnancy and postpartum is important because of the vital prognosis for both the mother and the fetus. The study that we present is retrospective, descriptive, carried out in the intensive care unit of the maternity ward of the Farhat Hached University Hospital of Sousse (more than 10,000 deliveries per year), with review of the files and radiological explorations undertaken in 99 patients admitted to the intensive care unit following a neurological complication in the context of the peripartum and this over a period from 2005 to 2014.
