Gbenga Odubiyi was born in Abeokuta, Nigeria, in 1976. He studied at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, from 1994 to 1999. He is also a playwright and a poet. His poem was published in 2001 in an anthology commemorating the new millennium, Passport to a New World. He presently works at Standard Trust Bank in Lagos.
