Description

The working day has been studied in various countries for different reasons, either to create laws to legislate in the labor field or to analyze how it influences the development of the country, both economically and productively. In addition, studies have been conducted focusing on the overtime associated with various factors, which may or may not be determinants. In this research we seek to analyze and find the factors that are determinants in the amount of overtime performed, with the aim of making an analysis of the marginal effect of the factors for each region of Chile, as well as over time. A period of ten years from 2010 to 2019 was considered. It was carried out by means of a linear regression model, using data from the New National Employment Survey, statistical and econometric tools and the statistical software Stata.
