Description
This paper addresses the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic on stress-related mental disorders in hospital health personnel in charge of the care of suspected or confirmed coronavirus patients in Argentina. To this end, research on mental disorders diagnosed in health personnel who worked in hospitals where epidemic diseases such as SARS, MERS or Ebola were treated is analyzed. In turn, it examines the stress manifested by health personnel caring for suspected or confirmed COVID-19 patients. Finally, it is proposed that Argentine regulations be harmonized with the guidelines issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Labour Organization (ILO) on the subject.
