Out of the Shadows is my selected collection of nature poems written over my adult life from high school to the halls of higher education, from a country and western loving background with plastid interests across the musical spectrum from the blues and gospel, to rock and roll. As a young boy living on a farm in South Dakota, I was close to nature daily enjoying the peace and tranquility nature provides, understanding the relationship of the environment and ecology to mankind, and loving the changes and advantages of the four seasons.From the prairies to the mountains, from the forests to the streams, I learned to live in nature and all of its extremes.My poems reflect my ability to operate at any level of sophistication. Proof is in the number of my poems now published by the Society of Classical Poets in Journal VII, as well as shared online and in specialized collections such as Western Writers.
