Oscar is very quick, so you need to be very fast to close the doors, or else Oscar is out. What all the family members need to do is shake the cat biscuit tin or call out Oscar's name and he will return home again. Charlotte warns you at the end of the book that if you come over to their place, please make sure you close the door properly behind you.
