One in Christ would be useful as a small group study that will not overwhelm, but also will challenge the reader to think more deeply concerning unity in Christ. The author considers how the first century listener in the Roman province of Asia (modern day Turkey) would have heard and understood Paul's message. Laying that foundation, the modern reader is able to correctly apply its teaching to today's world.
