The abstracts given here from The Saugerties Telegraph published in Ulster County, New York are almost entirely death notices of one form or another. Some are garnered from obituaries and others from notices or news items. Because many of the notices were copied from other newspapers, the geographic coverage extends throughout the northeastern States, although the bulk of the notices pertain to Ulster County. The abstracts are arranged chronologically and there is a name index. Where another newspaper is identified as the source of the notice, a citation is given which may lead to additional data.
