Description
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is the standard
used by Federal statistical agencies in classifying business establishments
for the purpose of collecting, analyzing, and publishing statistical
data related to the U.S. business economy. It is a joint work between the
Untied States, Canada, and Mexico that allows a high level of comparability
between the countries. The NAICS officially replaced the SIC (Standard
Industrial Classification) system in 1997.

at the back of this book to assist users of the data.
