HE God of glory hath not left himfelf Without a witnefs; all his works do, after their manner de clare his glory. Afi now the heafir, and they jhall teach thee; and the [owls of the air, and they jhall tell thee or flieah th the earth, and it flaalll teach thee and the fiflaer of the fat jhall declare unto thee. Who knoweth not in all thefi, that the hand of the Lord hath wrought thtr? Job xii. 7, 8, 9. Moreover it hath pleafed him to inflamp upon the confciences of men, fuch deep im prefiions of his being and glory, that all the powers and fubtilty of hell, {hall never be able to eradicate them: Though, alas! Through a culiom of fin, and efpecially againfi much light and convielion, the com fciences of many aredebauched in thele dregs of time, to an obliterating of thele imprefiions, which otherwife would have been firong and vivid. The principles of moral equity carry fuch an evidence in their nature, and are alfo accompanied with (0 much of binding force upon the confcience, that their obligation on ta tional creatures hath a molt refplendent clearnefs, and fills the little World with fuch a firength, and efficacy of truth, as far fuwrpalleth the plaineft theoretical prlin cip es.
