Description

The people of Umumbara woke up that fateful morning to a very strange development. Their Oracle Priest had disappeared without a trace of his whereabouts. This caused a great anxiety in the land as the people feared that the Gods might be up in arms against them. The Oracle Priest is an indispensable person in Umumbara and to its people. He was the intermediary between the people and their gods on the one hand, and between the people and their ancestors on the other hand. Umumbara was a place where custom and tradition were never compromise as they were held both sacrosanct and sacred. Only the Oracle Priest dictated the pace as directed by their gods and their ancestors. Therefore, life would remain at a standstill without him. Also, being the only ordained divine servant, he was highly feared and respected by his kinsmen. His disappearance therefore presented the people with the task of searching for him, at least, to convince their gods and their ancestors that they did not treat their servant with disregard. If they had failed to show concern, they would have incurred the wrath of the gods who obviously would have visited them with some punitive punishments usually death, drought, famine, or strange ailments. The search mission turned out to be mystery adventures that exposed the search group to very strange knowledge beyond their imagination.
