The teaching and training he gave to me has governed my life now for 66 years.I will tell a part of my story first and then give credit to the man, his military service, his family, and the many that surrounded his life. One of the interesting things is his genealogy has roots in the Amish and Mennonites who did not believe in bearing arms yet he fought for the freedom of his homeland and parts of Europe.
