Lori Brack's Kansas roots coil down to her mother's Barton County homestead and her father's Russian- German immigrant parents. Her work background includes newspaper journalism, contemporary art education, public library programming, and college teaching. In 2010, the Field School, New York, published her chapbook A Fine Place to See the Sky, a poetic script for a work of performance art by Ernesto Pujol. The script is a collaboration with her grandfather's 1907-1918 Kansas farming journals.
