Her hobbies are reading, writing and dramatizing literature. She is committed to empowering people, specifically children. She is a trained and experienced literacy specialist and artistic development professional, whose passion is to eradicate illiteracy and promote education using creativity. She is the former president of the Jamaica Reading Association, an affiliate of International Reading Association. She is presently an education officer at the Ministry & Department of Education in Nevis, West Indies, and holds M.Ed and B.Ed degrees in literacy studies.
