Evolution of education from antiquity to the present time is shown, historical types of education are characterized, its 3-level structure that provided it with completeness and efficiency is revealed. The modern crisis of education is analyzed, its reasons are revealed and the forecast of its prospects is given. The approach to the solution of social problems of education - methodology of interaction of social subjects (personality, society, the state) having in it the interests is proved. The analysis of an interest phenomenon, its structure is opened, conditions of formation of steady interest, various forms of interaction of interests in education are investigated. The main interests of each social subject in education (society, personality, state) are systematized, their subjective potential defining mutual interest to them from the side of education system is characterized. Conditions of successful realization of interests of different subjects for the purpose of effective development of education and society are investigated.
