Description

Being born in 1949, in Kings County Hospital, Brooklyn, NY. Those were the days when everyone seemed to know the people who lived north, south, east and west of each other, when windows and door were left open to all the hours of the night.

I remember policeman walking their beat, how they twirled their batons, and even knowing their names. And they knew ours. I sometimes can still smell the odor of the smooth black tar streets of good old West 7th Street. We had games like, Kick the Can and Stick Ball. I loved baseball, and I was pretty good at it. Yeah, those were the good old days.
At the age of 13, my family of 5- 3 brothers, Johnny, Frankie and Thomas, and 2 sisters named, Frances and Lorraine moved to the West Coast. San Fernando Valley, California. I remember being excited to meet the cousins that we had only heard about, and discovering the dreams that came true in California. I loved California.

I did well on the West Coast growing up. At the age of 18, I enlisted in the Army. Finishing my Boot Camp in Northern California, I was sent to war in Vietnam. I was forever blessed to had mad it home. At the age of 20, I met my wife Jo Anne. We had a lovely marriage and two beautiful girls, Tina and Michele. Jo Anne passed in 2010. I know live in Texas with daughter Tina and her husband Steve, and my two grandsons, Christian and Michael. My daughter Michele lives in New York with my beautiful granddaughter Isabella.
