Bob studied psychology at Columbia University (MA, 1969), where he began searching for God. While in New York, he was inspired by Swami Satchidananda to practice yoga. Meditation led Bob back to his childhood religion, Catholicism, and inspired him to spend a decade in a Trappist Cistercian monastery at the Abbey of Gethsemani. He desired to communicate about God, and he chose to complete both an MA and PhD in Theology at Fordham University in order to dedicate himself to teaching religion on the college level. He has taught in New Jersey, Kansas, California, and Florida, and frequently lectures in parish and diocesan programs. He has published a number of articles on spirituality and hopes to continue writing and teaching.
