Description

This research work focuses on wave energy power take-off systems, considered a clean and inexhaustible energy source for electricity generation. In addition, the PTO devices used to harness this energy, their classification and main characteristics are mentioned. The PTO devices consider wave energy as a primordial factor, due to its generation of electrical energy, looking for better devices, circuits and components for its use and efficiency. These devices must be modeled to know their energy conversion response. For this purpose, a hydrodynamic modeling of a point absorber and a modeling of a hydraulic circuit are carried out. Selecting and determining the optimal parameters for an offshore PTO hydraulic circuit. The PTO system is modeled in a dynamic study, allowing to observe the performance and response for a regular swell.
