A catalog of African doctors in mathematics was compiled and published in 2007 by the late Professor Paulus Gerdes of Mozambique. In this book we revise that catalog and update it for the case of Burkina-Faso. The particularity of the present list is that it includes doctors of mathematics from the Burkinabe diaspora. After a brief presentation of Burkina-Faso, we present an overview of mathematics in Burkina Faso from pre-school to university including research in mathematics. A list of mathematicians in Burkina Faso and in the Burkinabe diaspora is provided. We thank ÃÂditions Universitaires Européennes for the publication of the book and express our gratitude to the Cristina Nastas Readership.
