Description
MAD COW comprises a life cut up and pasted together, fragments of an individual who is stitched and moulded via detailed thoughts, incoherent ramblings and insightful art. This autobiography is a collage of experiences and emotions to convey a fractured mind that is striving against the darkness yet encountering moments of sublime - albeit, transient - light. My account is candid and personal, ranging from a tone that is heartfelt and pugnacious to reveal a girl's journey, her life oscillating between ordinary occurrences and unusual situations. My life is my own, here in print; however, it may be representative of many. This diary was initially composed in an effort to gain closure, yet it reveals the discovery of happiness following a battle with the demons of anorexia, depression and self-harm. Hopefully, by bringing my story into the public domain, I can build a distant rapport with others who have experienced similar struggles, or indeed, can shine a light on such issues, whilst maintaining that I am just an everyday person. Doing so would be a kind of projecting my voice and reaching out, so to speak. These writings can also be rather playful and celebratory of love and hope for the future; here is a voyage which can be painful, though fuelled by jauntiness and an inherent optimism at times. I have combined the very bad times with the very good - and the bits in between - which is what living is essentially all about.
