In this book he documents the organization, leadership, and combat experiences of each of the seventy-eight regiments from Texas that served in the Confederate army. Also included is a history of the thirty-five Confederate artillery batteries from Texas. Dr. Wooster is a past president of the Texas State Historical Association and the East Texas Historical Association. He spent his academic career at Lamar University where he was Chairman of the History Department.
