This was followed by a year of land living in a trailer house before he started living aboard a 17-foot long Dotline power boat named Boat-Boat in Stockton, California, on the California Delta in 1977. He lived aboard this boat for over a year and a half before switching to a 25-foot long Coronado sailboat named GO FOR IT, which became his floating home for the next three and a half years.
