Kip the Border Collie and Brenda the Persian cat lived together with their master at the edge of the bush. One night they meet Emong, a gnome who has lost his glasses. After finding them they take him home to the hollow in one of the trees. He tells them he has magic berries to make them small enough to visit his family in the tree. During their visit, the juice which was needed to restore them to normal size, spills on the floor. Because of this, Kip, Brenda and Emong have to go on a long journey, to obtain more berries from a magic berry tree. Along the way they meet a host of characters including: three Kangaroos named Kelly, Mary and Daphne, Garry Goanna, Ronald Rabbit as well as Keeky, Kooky and Kenny the Kookaburras. They also meet the snake guarding the berry tree. After their great adventure, the Kookaburras fly them home.
