Description

This literary work, "It's All Relevant" is a sequel to Studds Juke Joint. It's the continuing story of George "Studd" Freeman's journey to survive adulthood outside of the sharecropper fields in Copiah County, Mississippi. Studd must deal with many unpleasing situations, as they arise. Studd although mostly unschooled is a quick study, especially for the business's ins and outs of entrepreneurship, which he is passionate about. After a short time of studying, he recognizes that "knowledge is power" and the key to success, which he quickly champions. There are many lessons Studd had to overcome, and the cost was high in most cases. He still however pursued his childhood vision. To acquire acres of Black Bottom farmland and prosper, prosper along with a loving wife to raise a family. Despite the odds being heavily stacked against him, Studd seeks knowledgeable individuals to recruit and collaborate with when an acquisition is possible. Once acquiring land properties, ownership opens vast possibilities Studd speculates.

Here in this rural area of Mississippi there is no relief when on country towns, streets, and roads, especially during harvest time. Lock them up; farmland owner would need cheap laborer. Folks of color were targets and the priority. During harvest time, all the locals of color knew of the practice and try to avoid the areas law enforcement patrols. Very few men of color were exempt. Studd, however, found a way to avoid local prosecution of any kind. Money talks!
