Ricky is a smart young man...he has studied about the measurement of TIME and is completing a project on the ways that time has been measured through the years. For a long time Ricky has also been pondering the meanings of other expressions that involve the word TIME, and his burning desire is to learn what these expressions mean. For instance, "TIME is running out" or "you are running out of TIME" may not be confusing to grown-ups, but it made Ricky wonder what would happen if his TIME runs out! Will he also have no more life left? And when he is told that "TIME flies", he wants to know where it goes and what it does when it gets where it's going! After having received no satisfactory answers to his questions from his parents and grandparents, he realizes, after he dozes off to sleep, that his persistent questions conjure up a beautiful Spirit he names "Mother Moment", because she reminds him of his Mother. She comes to help him reach some reasonable explanation of the many phrases he has heard over the years, and answer any questions he might have. The first question Ricky asks is "What is TIME?" After offering suggestions to Ricky, she then takes him on a whirlwind tour through the development of implements of measuring TIME, many of which Ricky is already familiar. After learning that "time measurement" was not his main concern and determining what Ricky's real interest is, she then offers her possible explanations, and helps him reach into his own consciousness to arrive at some 'TRUTHS' he can use to guide his life as he grows to adulthood. One of the best things that "Mother Moment" shared is that since no one knows how much TIME one has in this life, it would be best to value this TIME, and spend (use) it consciously, wisely, and thoughtfully. Ricky agreed that it sounded like good advice for all youngsters growing into adulthood ... and as well even for grownups who should never get too old to use advice like that!
