This study attempts to determine if tactical air support of an airborne battalion is feasible in adverse weather. The investigation is focused on an analysis of close air support, reconnaissance and aerial resupply. Investigation reveals that the Air Force is capable of providing tactical reconnaissance and aerial resupply in adverse weather. Further examination reveals that the Air Force is only capable of very limited close air support in adverse weather. Hence, at the present time, tactical air support of an airborne battalion in adverse weather is not feasible.
