Today the Internet is understood as a kind of "showcase" of information revolution and global processes in general, the environment of social relations. The book considers scientific approaches to the study of political and informational aspects of power, clarifying the place and role of communication in the political life of society. The essence, structure and features of the state information policy are specified. The essence, structure and main content of the military information policy are considered, the peculiarities of its formation and functioning are revealed and the vectors of its further development are defined. The role of the Internet in social and political processes is analyzed and its social and political significance is defined. The peculiarities of the Internet usage in the military sphere and in the sphere of civil-military relations of Russia are revealed. Theoretical conclusions and practical recommendations intended for further perfection of communicative activity of state authorities and military administration, political parties and public organizations, mass media promoting development of modern military information policy in the country are formulated.
