Four years later Christopher finds her in the dock, charged with the murder of her mother. The trial ends with a Not Guilty verdict the defendant Lindsay Shawcross is so overcome with relief she faints in the dock. Christopher once again comes to her rescue. But this time he doesn't leave her. From the two tenuous meetings between Lindsay Shawcross and Christopher McKenzie, a chain of events which would have far reaching consequences takes place. More than a few lives would change for the better as a result of that meeting.
