Description

This book deals with the industrialization trajectory of sub-Saharan African countries based on the prospects for sustainable resource development and processing. In the vision of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), can African industries claim to be performing globally, to overcome the industrial past punctuated by vulnerabilities and bankruptcies? This multidimensional performance, at the same time economic, societal and environmental, is evaluated by a Varimax factorial analysis method justified a priori by Bartlett's tests and Kaiser-Meyer-Olkin (KMO) correlations. Empirical evidence-based research highlights African industries with mixed overall performance, requiring improvements in costs, quality and productivity. The diagnosis of economies in Sub-Saharan Africa, however, reveals significant natural and demographic resources allowing for real industrial potential based on green economy strategies.
