After retirement, she went on to co-found Tu Casa Lataina, a non-profit geared toward helping immigrant women, men, and children who are victims of domestic violence, violent crimes, and human trafficking in Northern Nevada, with the help of Immigration and referrals so they can stay in the United States and build toward a better life.
Rodriquez has dreamed of being a writer since she was nine years old. She has previously published stories and poems in various magazines, such as Nuestro Magazine.
Now at seventy, Rodriquez has been married for thirty-nine years and is the mother to two outstanding women and grandmother to two and a great-grandmother to three.
