Pastor Bartlett's efforts at evangelism and church growth have been especially effective; his last three congregations have all been among the 100 fastest-growing of the ELCA's 11,000 churches. At his present parish, membership has grown by 500% and the budget has quadrupled over the last eight years -- and that's not including the construction of a satellite campus and the opening of a Christian elementary school.
