Kevin made the move to Australia in 2004, where he worked as a lecturer in Sociology. He settled into life in Australia and embraced all aspects of a rural Australian lifestyle. Then his father moved to Australia and moved in with him. Life went on pretty much as it did until his father was diagnosed with a respiratory disease. In 2015 Kevin took a sabbatical from work and moved to the UK with his father, who promptly had a heart attack and was diagnosed with lung cancer. Kevin's life changed completely, he became a carer.
