This time she explores the Gnostic Gospels, among other things. At the end of May, Cari and her family take a trip back to New England to see where her husband grew up. In September her husband graduates college and her daughter starts preschool. October finds Cari on bed rest, eager for her son to arrive. At the beginning of November, a mother early, she goes into labor. It is a tough time with an emergency C-section and her husband landing in the hospital the same day with a dangerous infection. After a brief postpartum depression, Cari bounces back and begins exploring philosophy and Buddhism in her writing. In 2008, she publishes Persephone's Echo and hopes toward the future.
