Description
The theme of Ghosts of My Own Choosing is that we are all haunted by something, whether it's growing up, people living or dead, love, the choices we make. To some extent, we choose the things that stick with us, the memories that we visit again and again.Terri's poetry, particularly the poetry around relationships, is personal, even intimate, but still subtle: the reader is almost being let in, but what's unspoken is still between the author and the person being spoken to. And what is there for the reader is still vastly rich. In her non-relationship poems, there is a wryness that lets the reader know that we're all in this together. Terri Simon's poetry has real-world accessibility with stardust sprinkled over it.
