The book contains 27 sketches on the National Mall that were completed in 1973, 1974, 1975 and 1976. Mr, Ihrie was featured in the Washington Arts Club "Fifty Year Retrospective" along with 49 other Washington artists in 1987. Mr, Ihrie has painted in nine countries, including; "Monet's Garden", France 1995, "Ruins of Romans", Beirut, Lebanon, 1999, Catholic University, Quito, Ecuador, 2007, co-sponsored, United States government Cultural Affairs, Ecuador.
