In a gurukul when the Guru gives this mantra, he ensures the intellect is receptive, respectful and compassionate in the use of the Mantra. INTELLECT governs CHARACTER & SUCCESS, and rules our entire LIFE. Mantras are carefully chosen words strung like a gorgeous necklace in tuned verses. Specific words with deep meanings, they emanate powerful vibrations. The whole universe is नाम रूप - name & form - i.e. vibration. Scientifically, electrons and protons are spinning waves. When you chant, your tongue moves inside the mouth, touching the root, palate, lips or teeth, and stimulates the hypothalamus, pineal and pituitary glands, corresponding to the sahasrara and ajna chakras. The palate has 84 meridian points corresponding to the 84 Yoga asanas.
