Feeling more love from the streets than at home, these predators had their hooks in me. I was very vulnerable. This experience led me down a path of destruction and addiction for many years. It left me broken and wounded as I became a very young mother. I struggled to survive and my children also struggled from the decisions I made due to the constant moving, the different people I allowed in our lives, and ultimately my addictions to drugs and/or alcohol depending on the specific time period. The redemptive love of Christ pulled me up from the pit and the healing process began.
