The concept behind this collection of writings is based on the Japanese Buddhist concept of Sanzen, which roughly translated means "moment of truth." However, through life's many challenges, we often find that we must transform or disassociate ourselves into a new form of personal consciousness in order to survive. From Many Voices is a collection of three short stories and several poems that deal with the struggles of recovery taken from the author's own life. The poems and short stories reflect the many "voices" that co-exist within all of us and highlight the fight to survive and journey from recovery to a belief that happiness is possible.
