Description
This book is a comprehensive account of author Roger Graham's 36 years of covering the games and affairs of Greenock Morton Football Club while sports editor of the evening newspaper, the Greenock Telegraph. It includes the highs of a period under Benny Rooney's management in which the club won promotion to the Scottish Premier League as a part-time club, remaining there for five consecutive seasons, and the low of entering administration under the tenure of Hugh Scott's ownership. Then came revival under the stewardship of current chairman and owner Douglas Rae. The book, by coincidence, updates the centenary history of Greenock Morton, written by former club director Tom Robertson in 1974.
