If there is such a thing, the latter may be tongue-in-cheek speculative, or perhaps food-for-thought speculative. Whatever they may be catagorized as, they are intended to be just for fun.
The horror stories in this book are not the 'splatter' type of horror that we are so often confronted with today. It is merely the type of horror for the unjaded palate.
