Kora el Sukuta is scarred by the horror of seeing his family slaughtered. He vows never to be weak again. He becomes Onim-the Crocodile, a ruthless crook and, ultimately, the President of the Zonga Republic. He will stop at nothing to eliminate Fungai. He succeeds, but in doing so, sets off an uprising that threatens him and his cohorts.
After Fungai disappears and is feared dead, Beki, Fungai's fiancée, know she and her unborn child are in danger. She must find a way to survive. She lays low in a women's refugee where she gives birth to a baby boy. But she knows President Onim will never give up searching for her. She must make the ultimate sacrifice. She leaves her son in the refuge to become the wife of the despicable President Onim. A master of duality, she plays the loving wife while spying for Antu, making sure her son is safe.
Brought up in a women's refuge, Fumi believes he is an orphan. He takes over Fungai's organisation, only to realise he has been set up. He is Fungai and Beki's son and has to take forward Fungai's dream-to make Africa one.
