Have you ever looked "Down the Trails of Life" and could not imagine how you arrived where you are? As you ponder the events, crooked paths, crowded streets, all you see is the hand of God at work in the circumstances. Those dark roadways no one would enter to help or simply be there as a sounding board or shoulder to embrace. Description

Your strength, sense of direction was gone, and you felt as though you were alone, in a mist, barely able to know where to place your feet, thoughts or emotions. But then something happens, and you scream out in despair, "Lord, please take my hand, I am lost and don't know who to turn to or where to go." Then, there is a sense of well-being and happiness that flood your soul. This is not a moment of euphoria but a settling in your spirit that the Almighty God of the universe is real and has everything under His control.

These collections of poems are thoughts from years of challenges I faced growing up in a harsh, cold world, as a black youth. Some of the trials I faced were of my own making and some tailored and inherent by the society in which I lived. I lost my father at a noticeably young age and the loss of my mother a few years later was a sure-fire recipe for disaster but, God, in His infinite mercy and patience sent strangers along my path. I will be ever so grateful for His love, mercy, kindness, and salvation that came through His one and only Son, Jesus Christ.
