Its New York production at the Winter Garden, under Boucicault's direction, launched the career of Joseph Jefferson. At the time of Boucicault's death, "Dot" was mentioned as being among the playwright's best plays. Published as part of Theatre Arts Press' Dickens Dramatized Series of Plays.
