Description

There are areas in every Christian's life that present challenges. These areas are usually the places where we are weakest. Of course, the desire of the adversary is to cause us to get weaker and weaker even to the point of allowing our challenges to overtake us. God has already shown in His Word ways we can become victorious over every challenge. Some of the areas Christians often seem challenged in are: coping with depression, resentment, and anger. This reading shares simple Biblical help with what I have chosen to call "Bears". The allegorical thought of these challenge areas being "bears" we face, comes from my family's many visits to the mountains where one often reads literature about the hazards of feeding the bears and helpful pointers for camping outdoors; moreover, warnings from the rare times when we have seen, close enough, real "bears"! It is not a bright idea to feed these large lurking, hungry creatures. To do so will cause you and your loved ones to be hurt, and it could be fatal. So it is with the "bears" of depression, resentment and anger. This book shares in a brief, yet powerful manner, how to walk in victory over these challenges. Included are strategies to overcome disappointments, sadness, suicide, self-pity, and other partner emotions associated with depression, resentment, and anger. The work is great for a small group bible study, large group teaching, and individual self-help study. It is anchored in truths applicable to both mature and adolescent audiences who may be facing these challenges as developing believers.
