During the siege, both personal and larger conflicts are finally resolved. C.R. Coster worked as a librarian and researcher for many years. He now divides his time between Internet trading and writing. He is currently working on the sequel to Distant Trumpets, which will see Abdelal and his regiment pitted against the might of Tsarist Russia during the Crimean War.
