Description
This is a story for children approximately 3 - 5 years of age. The main character is Dennis who lives with his wife Marie in a beachfront home with a large forested backyard. The picture story provides many scenes from the sea and their yard to help children learn about colors and nature. The "woodpile" is the result of a storm that blew down many trees. As Dennis cuts the trees, he creates a wood pile that grows and grows until it provides the reader (adult and child) an opportunity to help Dennis decide what to do with it.
