Brian and Harold fight constantly, and Adam invariably sides with Harold. When Adam dies and Harold inherits the ranch, Brian and Jackie find themselves facing a hellish choice. They can remain on the ranch and submit to Harold's authority, or they can leave and make a new life away from the only home Brian has ever known.
