Description
As a child, Nathan Staby witnesses the murder of his best friend, Robert. His death is so traumatic that he's still unable to recall all the important details of what happened that day. His only memory is of finding the body of a young boy buried beneath damp leaves in the woods where they played together almost every day. As the years pass, the memories of that awful day become buried, except for Nathan's vague memory of seeing a mysterious old man in the woods. Was he real or imagined? The memories of Robert and the old man haunt Nathan when he decides to go back to visit his small hometown of Fairhaven. Just after Nathan arrives back home there is a shocking discovery, which causes the town and Nathan to doubt his own innocence.
