In recent times, sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) has been deeply hit by this disease. According to some studies done in Cameroon, the prevalence of CC is about 13.4%. The incriminating agent is the human papillomavirus (HPV) which is found in 99.7% of cases of cervical cancer The HPV agent is sexually transmissible and there exist about 100 species which are not all pathogen.
